AI Background Agent

High-level overview of Plural's background coding agents.

Plural's AI agent lets you run background coding tasks against repositories connected to your Plural Console. Agents can analyze or apply code changes, optionally run tests, and report results back into the Console. When the work is done, they can open a pull request for review.

Supported agents

Plural supports major, bleeding-edge agent providers so you can pick the best fit without lock-in.

Why use it

  • Run agents inside your Kubernetes environment to sandbox them inside your own security perimeter.
  • Keep enterprise security controls intact while adopting agent workflows.
  • Use the built-in AI proxy to translate between API formats, so an Anthropic-native agent can run even when only OpenAI is approved.
  • Delegate work to multiple agents, then review their results in a pull request when they finish.
